We have a story to share. It’s the story of that most remarkable moment in history. The moment where everything changes. Where love wins. Where hope is found. THE STORY OF JESUS

The churches in Witney have a history of celebration and invitation. We love to invite people to find their place in the good news about Jesus. You will have seen that for a generation we have gathered in the centre of our wonderful town to share one part of that story. You will have seen people walking in silence behind a cross through the centre of town. You may have heard the solemn drum beat.

You may have wondered at the whole thing. You may even have been given a hot cross bun or found yourself caught up in the significance of the moment.
​
Well that has invited our wonderful community into one moment in the easter story. The moment where we remember Jesus giving his life for us. To win us back, set us free and give us life.
​
But the story is far richer and more wonderful and joyful than just that one moment. So this year the walk and the silence and the reflection is becoming a week-long festival.
This easter together we are going to tell His story.

TUE
HOLY WEEK PILGRIMAGE
MONDAY 3RD
+ TUESDAY 4TH
A two-day pilgrimage to each of the churches in our area. Starting 8:30am Monday 3rd at High Street Methodist. Join in for the whole thing or choose a specific section or location.
All are welcome for as long or as little as they would like. Bring your own refreshments. The terrain is not difficult but there will probably be mud!

JERUSALEM JOY
CONCERT BY WICS
7:30PM High Street Methodist Church
A FREE concert journeying the story of the Easter week, from Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, through the low point of Good Friday and into the Resurrection. Lasting about 45 minutes, we hope it will bring the story to life in a new way for you.
